Rashmika Mandanna defends her character from ‘Animal’ with Ranbir Kapoor, says she will do it many times over! | Hindi Movie News – Times of India


Rashmika Mandanna who was last seen in ‘Animal‘ has got a lot of mixed reactions for her character in the film co-starring Ranbir Kapoor. While there was a section of the audience who praised her performance, some criticised her and also felt that the character didn’t do much against the misogny in the film. However, Rashmika defends her character and calls it strong!
In a recent interview with Times Now, she expressed immense happiness to be able to do a character like this.She called it beautiful and said that would do the same character many tims over! She further explained that her character in the movie was written that way and she’s just an actor bringing the director’s imagination alive. So, everything that the actor does on the set, is just about bringing the director’s vision alive. In case there is an expression or a dialogue which a director does not like, he makes the actors do it again. It’s teamwork, she said.
Rashmika also said that she thinks her character is truly strong and she has heart stories of women in real life who are like that. She added that she’s just done her character whole heartedly with a lot of purity, and done justice to the director’s imagination.
The actress also said that she feels grateful about the kind of business that ‘Animal’ did at the box office. Meanwhile, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brother Pranay Reddy Vanga who is also the producer on ‘Animal’ had expressed that Rashmika’s character was one of the top 3 characters after Ranbir and Bobby Deol’s character. He also said that Rashmika did a fine job with her performance and somehow she hasn’t gotten the kind of due that she really deserved for the movie.
‘Animal’ has now released on OTT. It also stars Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, apart from Ranbir, Rashmika and Bobby.
