On Friday, Jaipur experienced rapid jolts of an earthquake. Within half an hour, three intense tremors were felt, shaking the ground so fiercely that people heard explosive-like sounds. Afterward, frightened individuals came out of their homes and apartments. During this time, some boys were seen sitting in the street, reciting the Hanuman Chalisa (a devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman). Fortunately, there is no information about anyone being injured or any damage caused by the earthquake.

According to reports, the three seismic jolts were felt continuously. The first tremor was felt around 4:09 in the morning, followed by the second one at 4:23, and the third at 4:25. People were seen inquiring about each other’s well-being on the streets.

The earthquake was of magnitude 3.4 to 4.4, as measured by the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The center reported that the epicenter of the earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 was about 10 kilometers deep in Jaipur.

Videos of the earthquake were shared on social media, showing cars shaking due to the impact of the tremors, which sounded like explosions.

Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje tweeted about the situation, informing that Jaipur had experienced powerful earthquake jolts and expressing hope that everyone was safe.

The earthquake’s tremors were felt in various cities across the state until 4:30 a.m. The earthquake’s epicenter was stated to be in the Aravalli highlands. People in Jaipur came out of their homes and gathered on the streets as a result of the earthquake. So yet, there has been no report of casualties or property damage.

The earthquake struck at 4:09 a.m. and had a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). It had a Richter scale intensity of 4.4. According to NCS data, at 4:22 a.m., another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 was felt, followed by a tremor with a magnitude of 3.4 at 4:25. Most people were asleep when the first tremor happened. People fled their homes as soon as the earthquake was felt. Many adjacent districts were also affected by the earthquake.
